I’m six years post-op top surgery today with Dr. Satterwhite at @alignsurgicalassociates - Crazy it has been 6 years - Six years ago when I had top surgery I hadn’t even come out to anyone but my closest friends. I really wasn’t sure I ever would but the more and more aligned I felt in my body, the more confidence I built in order to come out and completely live my truth. ( also major credit to @dzhartwell for being such an amazing support through the years ). - Having grown up religious, I had a lot of shame and deconstruction to sort through. It wasn’t easy by any means but I’m so happy I kept pushing through. - It can be easy to get caught up in the struggles that being trans comes with but I can truly say I am thankful for this life and all that comes with it. I’ve been able to experience life from a few different perspectives and it has made me a more resilient person in the long run. - Whatever you are going through right now. Don’t you dare give up! One day you will be look back and see how far you have come and how fucking strong you are!
