Your life isn't yours if you constantly care what others think
Tiffany joined my ZOOM GROUP YOGA classes pretty much from their inception on March 19, 2020 and she has been a committed student attending between 2-3 times per week. Her cat Mojito joins us for class on a regular basis as well. It has been a quiet journey to see each other via ZOOM and witnessing her practice grow has been an honor. Join us on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:30am from 60-75 minutes for an experienced Level 1 class. For this class it is helpful to have some YOGA experience, a minumum of 6 classes is recommended.
Working from home With the majority of people working from home, it is more important than ever to make sure you’re sitting correctly. Bad posture can lead to aches, pains, headaches and tiredness which will quickly result in injury because you’re putting your body under additional strain! Short term; the sofa, lounging in bed, slouching on the dining room chair - all seem like the comfy options but longer term your body will suffer. ... Here are my top 5 helpful tips ... 1- Support your back To reduce your risk of back pain adjust your chair so your lower back is properly supported. 2- Adjust your chair Adjust your chair so you can use the keyboard with your wrists and forearms straight and level with the floor, this helps prevent repetitive strain injuries. 3- Rest your feet on the floor Place your feet flat on the floor, if they’re not, use something to act as a footrest. Do NOT sit with your legs crossed as this can contribute to posture related problems. 4- Screen Level Your screen should be directly in front of you, a good guide is to place the monitor about an arm length away with the top of the screen roughly at eye level. If your screen is too high or low you will have to bend your neck, which can be uncomfortable. 5- Take regular breaks Don’t sit in the same position for too long. Try and change your posture as often as possible. Frequent short breaks are better for your back than fewer long ones. It gives the muscles a chance to relax while others take the strain. So... Focus on how you’re sitting, don’t sit for too long at any one time, do some exercises to keep those core muscles strong for overall posture improvements and let’s make this a priority

This is the closest we are going to come to deep tissue or sports massage of years past. Now we are focused on relaxing/releasing nerve pain while nudging the structure towards balance and relaxation all with care and gentler pressure. The old days of "no pain no gains" are gone and replaced with more intelligent ways of working with the body. In this targeted bodywork session we will use neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, tissue sculpting, structural realignment , craniosacral, cupping, trigger point therapy and alignment based yoga to nudge your body gently out of pain from established patterns that may be causing injuries or limited range of motion.
