Some days are better than others.. and sometimes you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hopped out of the @toyotausa to move some heifers as an irrigator was moving the manure water line. After an accidental shift of the pipes, the riser broke and manure (nutrient) water sprayed all over me! Dirty day. Dirty jobs. This is the life of a #regenerativeorganic farmer.

It’s easy to get lost in the beauty when we are working on the farm. To be stewards of this land is to be caretakers for her and the animals. What a life and undertaking it is. Within our #regenerativefarming are many aspects, but the greatest is the positive impact that animals make on our land and soil. Dreaming of blue skies for the West Coast. We are now one week into the smoke cloud that has been cast over our skies here. Luckily, things seem to be getting better, and the fires are slowing down, with rain to come on Wednesday! Thankful for our coastal air and cool blue skies today more than ever!

How neat is this! John Mayer and Land Rover were in Crescent City and did a beautiful tribute to the outdoors here at the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park! This park is just upriver of our farm! If you can, take five minutes to enjoy this beautiful video.

We are the Alexandre Family. Every couple years we get the chance to update the family photo! Oh how we’ve grown. We’re the farming family behind the brand, although there are many families of employees that we like to include when we talk about the Farm or the Creamery. From soil to bottle, we love and work hard to do what we do producing nutrient dense regenerative organic dairy products!

This is Angel, he’s our breeder and one of the Herdsmans on our farm! Every morning Angel and his teammate, Canelo, check in on the milk cows at our dairy. They individually walk through and look for cows that are in heat, showing signs of estrus, and ready to be bred to artificial insemination that is from all over the world! This is how we ensure that all are cows are A2, buying A2 genetics and then DNA sampling each cow on the farm!

Does this make your mouth water as much as it makes our cows mouths water? Mmm mmm good. These regenerative organic pastures take tender love and care to be filled with nutrients that not only make our cows healthy, but their milk too!

I’ve got the girls helping in the Maternity Barn! Savanna, on the left, is cleaning off the hair on the cows tail, this makes it easier to keep the cow clean here on the farm. Geneva (family friend from a dairy farm in Wisconsin) is helping with the first colostrum milking of a new fresh cow. The first colostrum is vital for a newborn calf, so right after we milk the momma, we feed that baby a gallon of her own colostrum!
