MEET THE TEAM! This is Salma Kamal, a senior civil engineering major from Pasadena, CA. She is a member of Ignatians Service Organization and served as their president last year. She also has worked as a student manager at the William Hannon Library for the past 2.5 years. Salma is passionate about environmental justice and mass incarceration. MEET THE TEAM! This is Michaela Galeski, a sophomore Environmental Studies major and Studio Arts minor from Omaha, NE. On campus, She is a freshman RA and will be again next year. She works in Special Collections in the library, and she is on the Design team for the Loyolan. Michaela is passionate about women’s rights and environmental issues such as divestment, indigenous rights, and climate change. She also made our awesome logo!! MEET THE TEAM! This is Luke Chandler, a second year English major from Sacramento, CA. Luke is on the LMU Men’s Water Polo team and on the the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. MEET THE TEAM! This is Max Miyake, a third year marketing and political science with a minor in Asian Pacific American studies. Max is VP of social engagement for Ignatians Service Organization and business coordinator for Tower Yearbook. He is a Seattle born creative and is passionate about civil rights, diversity, and inclusion. We are so grateful to have Max on our team. We love you Max!

MEET THE TEAM! This is Calista Herrera, a third year theology major from Paris, Tennessee! Next semester will be her third year as a freshman RA on campus! Calista works as a manager in the BRC and is a member of Ignatians Service Organization! She is also involved with Campus Ministry and the Christian Life Community on campus. Calista is passionate about many things including LGBTQ+ rights as well as immigration. We are so happy to have Calista on our team. We love you Calista!

MEET THE TEAM! This is Nick Canchola, a third year business management major with a minor in studio arts. Nick is the VP of brotherhood for Magis Service Organization and a member of LMU Fashion Society. He also hosts a KLMU radio station called Mood Radio - tune in weekly to hear some killer playlists! Nick is passionate about many things including sustainable fashion and prison reform. We are so lucky to have him on our team. We love you Nick!

This is probably our most straight-forward initiative! Deja View was a great weekly program that screened relevant movies to the LMU community that was lost when Huesman was torn down. We pledge to bring back Deja View, an on campus movie theatre that many of us remember and love.

Our proposed Lions Safe Ride Program! ASLMU will work with the University to partner with Lyft to make our Westchester/Playa del Rey community more accessible for all students. Our partnership will allow for students to get free Lyft late night rides as well as to grocery stores, restaurants, and shops in hopes of creating a safer community for all students.
