Alemany Farmers' Market 07.10.2021

Curious what shopping is like at the market during Covid-19? While the traditional farmers market experience of taste testing, hand selection of produce, and sitting to eat a meal are not currently available at the market - we are continuing to offer a wide variety of high quality, low cost produce. If you come to the market, please come with patience, awareness, and an understanding of this current context. The center parking lot is open for shoppers to allow for social dis...tancing. The back parking lot is still open as well as parking along the south side. Shoppers line up, six feet apart, at the farmers stall. Many stalls have markers on the ground directing shoppers of where to stand and line up. When they reach the front of the line, shoppers point at which produce or products they would like to purchase. Some farmers are bagging their produce. The farmer then fills the order and tells them how much is owed. How do shoppers pay? Some farmers are accepting credit card payment but many are still accepting cash. If paying with cash, please try and come with change or small bills to lessen the amount of exchanges. EBT and Vouchers 4 Veggies (Eat SF) can get tokens at the market office to spend. If you can, we advise you go early or later in the day as the hours of 9am to noon are the busiest. The market opens at 6am and closes at dusk. EBT users can get an extra $10 to spend on produce. Eat SF’s Vouchers 4 Veggies can also be spent at the market. Go to the building onsite to get tokens to spend.

As always, EBT users get an additional $10. EatSF vouchers can also be used. Thank you Varun Al for the pictures!
