Jose M. Aldaco for City of Waterford Mayor

I am excited to announce that I am running for Mayor of the City of Waterford. I am starting my campaign by reaching out to you, my friends, and community leaders to ask for your endorsement. I am honored to have earned the early support of my fellow council members, committee members, and friends who have become aware of my intent to run for the seat of Mayor of the City of Waterford. As a classroom teacher, a coach, assistant principal, principal, school district office ad...ministrator, member of public and nonprofit organizations, and as a mentor, I know that education is the foundation from which we build strong communities. In the roles I have held in different work assignments and organizations, I saw the direct impact of policy decisions on those I have served. As a community leader, I have worked with families, community members, and organizations to support and improve the lives of our Waterford citizens. For the past two decades, I have worked and served the Waterford community through different venues and have held to my core beliefs to lead me into making the best decisions I could for the greater good of our community. My core values have always been: dependability, loyalty, commitment, consistency, respect, and honesty. These inner principles have given me strength to work with people in making decisions that I believe are in our community’s best interests. With today’s uncertain and unprecedented times, I believe that my tenure on the City of Waterford council for the past 13 years have equipped me to take on the Mayor leadership role and continue the great work the council has been carrying over the years. I have been honored to work with the current council members and former council members who have positioned our city to be a better place to live.
