None of us have to go through life or even pandemics alone. Join me at 7:30pm (PST) for prayers and weekly reflections. What's on your heart? What do wish to li...ft as prayers? Edit to add image description: There is a picture of the San Fernando Valley at dusk with all the city lights on against the backdrop of an emerging Sunset. The image reads Holding Vigil with Pastor Ryan, American Lutheran Church Burbank, Thursdays at 7:30pm. See more

November 1st is the Feast of All Saints This year we will gather online to celebrate the witness of heroes of the faith across the centuries, and we will read the names of the people of God who have died over the past year. Traditionally, we ring a big bell during liturgy to honor those who have passed. An even more ancient ritual is for churches to write the names of loved ones and others who have died in the Book of the Dead to be read out loud in the Litany of the Saints. ...As we will be online this year, we will be doing things a bit differently. Here is how you can participate: 1. Send names of loved ones and others who have died to be read aloud in the liturgy. Send names to [email protected]. We will be creating our own digital Book of the Dead as a way of honoring the lives of those who have gone before us. 2. Submit photos of your loved ones, of shrines you have made, ofrendas or another meaningful image, to be included in the liturgy. Send these labeled with names to [email protected]. Please send all submissions by Wednesday, October 28
