Early morning harvest today for Alamitos Vineyard’s very first Port! The initial harvest of our upper vineyard block Portuguese Touriga Nacional grapes in September, was for our 2020 Laura’s Love dry Rose. This late harvest with a 26brix will be for a unique old world style port. Same grapes but two very different Portuguese wines...

Our estate vineyard is planted to Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and the unique varietal, Touriga Nacional. We chose these varietals because of the ideal soil composite and microclimate.

Throwback Thursday to circa 1874 when the Quicksilver Mining Company owned the New Almaden mines near where our estate vineyard sits.

Harvest! Today we harvested our 2020 Syrah and we can't wait to share it with you. Release will be in the spring of 2022, but if you can't wait that long our 2018 "Hawk Eye" Syrah (which we only have 80 bottle left!) is available today, and our 2019 Syrah will be released in April 2021.
