Joe and Tony unbox our newest piece of equipment. This mobile ADAS laser aimed calibration system is made to be moved from one location to another. We have a brand new Ford Transit , 2 special AC rrr machines, new scan equipment and more. Waiting for our bulkhead divider and cabinets and we will be on the road to our shops that are to far from the Turlock shop. Now looking for another sharp tech that loves problem solving in the newest type of job in the Auto Repair business.

Picked this up for our next service , a fully capable mobile ADAS service setup(Advanced Driver Assist System). With cooperation with our body shop customers for temporary floor space we will be able to calibrate and align windshield cameras, radar cruise units, blind spot and lane assist. Added to this will be AC recovery and recharge equipment for 134 and 1234yf gasses. Load ramps, securing clamps and a few straggling component parts plus a load and unload ramp will be installed. We were looking all around the Sacramento area for this van with certain options. No one seemed to have one. We found it in Turlock where we have our shop. The folks at Price Ford took good care of us.

A few vehicles we have seen this past few weeks were rebuilt salvage cars where the rebuilder installed resisters to fool the airbag control modules so there were no warning lights on or codes indicating a problem. These were found after the cars airbag light came on. When the auto shop looking at the problem found wiring not plugged in to a seatbelt. The owners of the cars would of never known that the entire airbag systems were faked. In one we did a detailed estimate for the owner. He decided not to repair his 2017 Camaro when the combined labor and parts hit 14,000 dollars. All airbag parts plus the floor and dash harnesses were ruined by the rebuilder. Be very careful of really good deals.
