January 27, 2021 Dear Students, Parents and Caretakers, ... Last night, our school board and staff discussed the new CPDH guidelines that require a minimum distancing of four feet rather than three feet between chairs in all classrooms by February 1, 2021. To adhere to these mandates, we are required to decrease the number of students on each campus. In the survey attached, we are asking you to make a choice regarding staying at a five-day in-person instruction program or electing a Zoom-in only program from February 1- March 12, 2021. We must receive your input no later than Friday, January 29th at 5PM. Please complete the SURVEY embedded in the link. The in-person option will be assumed for families who do not submit the survey in time. Please note, this plan can be modified if the guidance from CDPH changes at any time during the term through March 12, 2021. If students/families opt for the Zoom from home option, they will not be permitted to attend in-person instruction through the remainder of the third quarter, which ends March 12, 2021. Our goal remains to have as many students safely on campus as often as possible. We know that this year has thrown many curve balls at us, and we appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. Plans for Returning to School January 5, 2021 December 15, 2020... The Roseville Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to return to on-campus learning five days a week beginning January 5, 2021. Students will attend all four of their class periods for 70 minutes and will be dismissed prior to lunch at 12:50, aligned with schedule here. Some students will remain on campus for an additional 45 support period. The trustees will consider moving to 80 minutes periods with lunch at the January 26, 2021 board meeting. As you may recall, in November families selected from one of two options: either have their student return to in-person learning or enroll in our full-time online learning, Roseville Student Virtual Learning Academy (RSVLA). RSVLA will begin January 5, 2021 with approximately 1700 students. The deadline has passed to enroll in RSVLA and a wait list can be accessed here, as well as additional RSVLA FAQ. The trustees listened to community input and evaluated all scenarios related to returning students to on-campus learning. We realize these are not easy times or easy decisions to make, and ask for patience and understanding in the weeks and months to come. We have just received some updated information Disney Sober Grad night trip. As all know Disney is not allowed to open with the Tier they are in. APB is looking into ways we can still celebrate class of 2021! With all the restrictions. We will keep you posted. Here is the email we have received in the cancellation of Sober Grad night. Dear Sasha,... Thank you for your interest in Grad Nite 2021. We recognize how much excitement, thought and time goes into planning your seniors’ celebration at the Disneyland Resort. With recently announced state guidelines that place opening large theme parks in the most restrictive tier, and public health officials indicating that Orange County likely will not reach that tier in the near term, we do not anticipate a reopening timeline in the foreseeable future and therefore we are unable to move forward with Grad Nite 2021. Given Grad Nite events require a substantial amount of planning and coordinationin addition to travel accommodations and fundraising efforts for your students months in advancewe felt that this was the right decision to make at this time. We know how disappointing this news will be, and we thank you for your understanding during these challenging and unprecedented times. We look forward to celebrating your students in years to come. Antelope High School Hello Titan Families! It might be a little later than normal, but school photo day is here!... It is very important that you take your photo in order to get your ID card for the year (which we will need when we return on campus), your photo in the yearbook, and so that you can order photos from this memorable year. Please click here to go to the sign up genius page for school photo times. This is similar to signing up for textbook check out. https://u9976710.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click Click on the day and time you will be coming to campus for you photo, click the orange "Submit and Sign Up" button on the bottom of the page, and then enter your name and email to complete the sign up. You will get a confirmation when you have signed up. Time slots are limited, and will be first come- first served. When arriving to campus, please follow these directions: 1. Park in the front parking lot. You must wear a mask as soon as you exit the car and through the entire process except when the photographer tells you to remove it for the photo. While on campus, you must stay at least 6 feet from all other students (including friends or family members). 2. Only students should get out of the car. If a friend or family member who is not getting their photo taken brings you to campus, they should wait in the car until you are done. 3. Follow the arrows to walk though campus to the gym foyer. 4. Enter the gym and follow directions to get into one of the photo lines. 5. When your photo is complete, wait in the designated area for your ID card to be printed. Once it is printed please exit back through the gym foyer and leave campus immediately. 6. Restrooms and water fountains will not be available for use on campus during photo times.
