Taxpayers are starting to receive their economic impact payments by direct deposit. For those still waiting, the IRS opened its direct deposit portal this morning. This link will allow taxpayers to enter/update their bank information, confirm the payment type (direct deposit or check) and check their payment status.

For people with income above that threshold, the payment amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000.
