Afficient Academy released a new feature for Afficient Math and Afficient English, i.e creation of automatic generation and adjustment of progress goals. After completing the first version of Afficient English Grade 2 to Grade 8, Afficient English development team started the second version of Afficient English development since late 2020. Incorporating the feedback from our teachers, students and parents, the second version of Afficient English has numerous improvements over the first version. Grade 2 of the second version was released in mid-February 2021, and Grade 3 of the second version was released last week. Afficient Academy is committed to continuously enhance its AI-empowered products.

Afficient students receive a grade completion certificate after completing a grade. Since Afficient Academy has been granted accreditation by WASC for both math and English programs for grade 2 to grade 12, the certificates will carry a WASC logo.

Sharing with you another success story of an Afficient Star-Vanessa Chen: Vanessa Chen Vanessa Chen is a student in grade 7 at Challenger, San Francisco, a renowned private school in the Bay area. When you have a child with no disabilities, you feel reasonably assured that class participation and decent study habits will result in good grades. These kids have close friends. They get invited to participate in social things like dances and weekend gatherings. They make the teams, auditioned organizations and clubs. But when you have a child with certain differences, this is often not the case. Learning may take longer, both academically and socially. Despite their tremen...dous efforts, results are often a fraction of their peers and social acceptance is fleeting, setting them up for painful comparisons and bitter frustration. Instead of a fun and fulfilling experience, school can become a breeding ground for depression and anxiety, and assignments a battle ground at home. It is exhausting for parent and child alike. This is the week of SPED (Special Education), Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) awareness. For all the children who struggle every day to succeed in a world that does not recognize their gifts and talents, and for those who are walking beside them, please let this be a gentle reminder to be kind and accepting of ALL people. Recognize that the "playing field" is not always a level surface. Children who learn differently are not weird. They are merely gifted in ways that our society does not value enough. Hello Parents! Are you aware that all our learning centers are offering virtual sessions during the regular opening hours? A student can simply join our Online sessions and receive help from our Learning Center instructors. They can also schedule a 1-on-1 session with them, learn a new concept, or get help in their lessons. As a parent, you can also schedule a Parent conference session with your Learning Center Manager and get updates about your child's progress. Contact your Learning Center manager for further details.

As soon as the shelter-in-place came into effect, our Learning Centers started virtual classes to fully support the Learning Center students. We also increased our services to include one on one sessions. Also, our Learning Center Managers conducted several parent conferences to discuss the progress of their kids and advised on how to use our programs efficiently and achieve better results. During the lockdown period, parents are concerned about their kids’ academic progress.
