This year, Camp went virtual but that didn’t stop the spirit of Camp from coming to life online! The Rotary Club of Los Angeles joined Camp Paivika for a week f...ull of fun activities! We threw a Grease dance party and every one did the hand jive! Everyone got a chance to show off their skills! Man, who knew the Rotarians and Campers could catch on so easily? We hosted the famous trivia game, Hollywood Squares. We all got to make up some fun answers and compete boys vs girls. Girls ended up winning this round! On the last session of the week, we hung out with our cabin groups, sang songs and made a human xylophone! We had so much fun with the Rotarians there, singing and dancing with us. That's the... amount of time that George Floyd had a knee on his neck, pleading for his life. All we need to do is to go outdoors (rooftop, front yard, back yard, street, any place outdoors) and turn on a flashlight, or emergency light, and point it to the sky for exactly 8 min and 46 seconds starting at exactly 9:00 pm. Tonight will be 9 days from Mr.. Floyd’s murder. He lost his life in almost 9 minutes by police unnecessary brutality.
