It’s pretty safe to say that most of us didn’t expect the COVID-19 pandemic to still be going on. With much of the state still on lockdown, everyday tasks, such as going to the grocery store or the gym, can result in contracting a serious (and in some cases fatal) illness. #Bail #BailBonds #LosAngelesBailBonds #LABail #adventurebail

In light of the recent protests, many crimes that were previously rare occurrences have been coming up a lot more recently. One of the crimes that has been charged more frequently is California Penal Code 243 PC battery on a peace officer. The law is defined as willfully and unlawfully touching a peace officer or other protective official in a harmful or offensive manner while the officer is engaged in their duty. #Bail #BailBonds #LosAngelesBailBonds #LABailBonds #LAPD #Battery

The history of bail is one that is steeped in human rights. It was originally developed during the Anglo-Saxon period of British History (410-1066). It was intended to be a means to resolve issues peacefully. When someone was charged with a crime, it was up to them to find someone else to act as their surety who will agree to pay the settled amount to the victim if the defendant fled. Today, bail works much the same way, however, when a defendant doesn’t show up for court, the surety money doesn’t go to the victim it goes to the courts. #Bail #BailBonds #Prop10 #LosAngelesBailBonds #LABail

Not long ago, a man was arrested three times in a single day by the Glendora Police. The first arrest happened in the morning after police received a report about a stolen vehicle. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of GTA, cited, and released. Not long after, police received a second call about a man stealing items from peoples lawns. When police responded to the call the suspect was arrested, cited, and released. The third arrest came that evening when police received another call about a stolen vehicle. When the vehicle was located and the suspect was arrested, it was none other than the same suspect that had previously been arrested twice that day. A similar event just happened in the SCV. #Bail #BailBonds #AdventureBailBonds #LosAngelesBailBonds #SCVBailBonds #SantaClaritaBailBonds

The passage of proposition 47 reduced the penalty for a lot of felony and misdemeanor criminal charges. Prior to the proposition’s passage, whether or not a defendant would be immediately released or held in lieu of bail was determined by the severity of the crime they committed. Technically, that’s still the case, though proposition 47 reduced the penalties from jail time to being cited and released without bail for many non-violent crimes. With LA's new "zero bail" policy, things are starting to get silly... #Bail #BailBonds #LosAngelesBailBonds #AdventureBail

California Penal Code 243(e)(1) PC makes it illegal to willfully and unlawfully touch a current or former spouse, cohabitant, fiance, dating partner, or co-parent. It’s possible to be charged and convicted of this offense even if there are no physical marks on the victim, or if the victim wasn’t harmed in any way. It’s one of the more commonly-encountered domestic violence charges in California. #Bail #BailBonds #AdventureBailBonds #LosAngelesBailBonds
