News Flash ladies! Lifting weights will not make you "big & bulky". It will increase your lean muscle tone, which will increase your metabolism, which will help you lean out. Endless hours of monotonously going on the elliptical or treadmill will make you more efficient aerobically, but it will do little to increase your basal metabolic rate by developing lean muscle tone the way lifting weights will.
