P.S.A. I am at the San Bernardino County Recorders office right now and as I was conducting my business inside the offices, the power went out. Once again, the Recorders Office in San Bernardino County is experiencing a power outage. That means if you have a something that you are supposed to be recording today in San Bernardino county, expect that there will be a delay in your recording.

About 3 months ago, I started feeling a bit strange . I remember telling my wife Heather and a few close friends that my legs felt weak. Some, including myself just thought, "Am I just getting old". It wasn't enough to stop me but it definitely slowed me down. What really scared me was when I decided I would go jogging for exercise. My legs would not support me when I ran. I nearly fell within 2-3 steps. Shortly after that I started feeling pain and stiffness in ...my arms and hands, followed by a tingling sensation as if my hands were asleep. By now I had been in contact with my doctor at Kaiser Permantente and had started going through testing. Multiple MRIs, X-rays, CAT scans, and so on.. They found that I had 2 herniated discs in my neck at the C-5 and C-6 levels. Likely because of a past injury. It was pinching in on my spine and causing issues with my whole body. I was in need for a Cervical Disc Replacement and possible fusion surgery for 2 levels in my neck. With all of this Covid stuff happening, they were holding off on doing surgeries. I had to wait. Weeks went by and I was nervous about further injury and nerve damage so I was taking it slow. They finally called and scheduled me for September 25th so I had a little time to prepare. Monday the 14th, the called to say there was a cancellation and that they could get me in on Thursday the 17th. They told me, I should expect to be in the hospital atleast 1 day, and possibly 3 or more. It was a crazy combination of excitement and anxiety. This was my first surgery and they were working so close to my spine that I had many concerns. I had to come to the hospital alone and have not been able to have any visitors due to the covid situation. I'm thrilled to report that I am doing great. Of course I am a bit sore and have a pretty gnarly scar on my neck but I can already tell that my body is working better than before. I don't feel the same weakness in my legs and my arms. I am eating some oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast and will be going home in time to have lunch with my family. I've still got a little recovery time ahead of me. Thank you for your and .
