Even if your mom is not a nurse or the community healthcare worker is not your mom, show some love, however you can.

Good morning Special Olympics Ventura community, The health and safety of the Special Olympics Southern California community, including our athletes, coaches, v...olunteers, and employees, are our top priority. We are closely monitoring information about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and consulting with our Official Health Partner, Kaiser Permanente; local authorities; and our partners on how to move forward. Sadly, we are postponing the Ventura Basketball Scrimmage scheduled for this Saturday, March 14, and the Santa Barbara Regional Basketball Tournament scheduled for this Sunday, March 15th at UCSB. Many considerations and hard conversations were had, but Oaks Christian High School, the University, and our team are in agreement that it is in the best interest of our athletes, coaches and volunteer’s health and safety based on guidance from SOI, SONA, and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). We will explore options to determine whether or not we can re-schedule this event later in the year, and will notify you when a conclusion has been reached. Everyone at SOSC wishes you well and to take care. The best prevention against COVID-19 remains taking regular health precautions so we put together some tips to help you stay healthy. You can view them at https://wearesosc.org//coronavirus-disease-covid-19-what-/. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Sports and Program Director Chasen Eddow [email protected] Thank you
