We at Company of Angels are urging you to join us in standing with Black Lives Matter - Los Angeles in support of the #PeoplesBudgetLA. We believe in reimaginin...g public safety and reallocating funds from the $3 billion dollar LAPD budget to universal housing, a clean environment, community workers, youth services, free public transportation, arts programs, parks, and training mental health professionals in de-escalation tactics. This investment in our housing, wellness, and healthcare would also decrease many of the circumstances that lead to crime. We applaud the LA city Councilmembers who presented Motion A, which calls for the diversion of non-violent incidents away from the LAPD to other trained agencies. This must be passed, and it must be implemented boldly. You can join us by signing the petition here: http://ow.ly/idVG50Agah5 See more
