That look when your 5150 comes and you actually get to see the size of this sandwich face to face :)

Daddy Baked Chicken, Smothered, BBQ'ed or Naked is No Joke! ...so, after I hand a guy his order, I'm talking with him at the counter. During our conversation he opens the package and pulls out a chicken leg and takes a bite. He's talking and now expressing himself with his hands, really fast he's telling me how good this chicken is. I'm trying to interrupt and got about half my sentence out. I was trying to tell him that's Daddy Baked Chicken it's probably the most tender jui...cy chicken you will ever put in your mouth so hold it with 2 hands. But before I got it all out, the meat slipped off the bone and hit the floor. In mid sentence he stopped, looked up at me and went from so happy, to so sad in less than a second. I couldn't help it, I busted out laughing. He's looking at me like I just cancelled Christmas. I know I shouldn't have but I couldn't help it. That was the funniest thing I've seen all week. Jambalaya, beginning the transition

Just so you know, we work for the smiles

We've had a number of counter-encounters, mostly funny but yesterday we had an emotional one. Food has always been emotional and we got to experience one first hand. A woman and her husband came in. He ordered a Ultimate cheeseburger, she ordered a Jambalaya and collard green dinner. Once she received it, she looked at the packaging, opened it, took a long slow lingering whiff of the aroma. She took her utensils out and took a taste. This woman's eyes welled up, she dropped her head and cried there at the counter. She explained that the last time she had Jambalaya this good her mother (who has passed) made the meal. It wasn't hard to find where her mind went. Glad we were there and able to perform well enough to make her happy.
