Have you heard? Firefox OS is in the house! But hold your "foxes", this operating system is Mozilla's attempt at a smartphone OS. Want more information? You can visit http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/... Curious and want to try it out? There is a Firefox OS Simulator add-on for the Firefox browser on your computer. It is not perfect but it will offer an environment that looks and feels like a mobile phone using the OS. If you are a developer, use this to develop and test apps.

Have you explored your phone or tablet's voice dictation feature lately? Just open any app and bring up a keyboard by tapping in a text field. At the bottom-left corner of your keyboard, you will see the MICROPHONE icon. Tap on it and start speaking. Your device will insert the words. THINGS TO REMEMBER: > Say the punctuation as the phone and/or tablet will not automatically insert them. For instance, if you want to say "Hello! How are you doing?", you have speak the words "H...ello exclamation point how are you doing question mark." > Should you need to remove a word or two, you have to tap on the clear or delete button to do so.

Sleep Mode is a power-saving state. It is basically the same as "Standby". It stops all actions and any open documents are put in memory. Sleep mode is useful if you want to stop working for a short period of time. Hibernate mode saves your open documents and running applications to your hard drive and shuts down the computer. So in this mode, the computer uses zero power. When the computer is powered back on, it will resume everything where you left off. Use Hibernate if you won't be using your laptop for an extended period of time without closing your documents.

Did you know that there are two types of "resets" you can perform? One is called a "soft reset" which is simply restarting a device --- turning it off and then on again. This is often used when a blue screen appears or your computer is so slow probably because of a program that's consuming too much of the CPU. The other is called a "hard reset" which is resetting a device's software state back to its factory default. This is especially useful when your computer (or any device per se) becomes completely infected with malware.

If you are one of those users who need to open multiple skype accounts at the same time (maybe one for work and one for personal use), then today is your lucky day! Skype has a hidden option for you to use. To open a new Skype instance while another is already open, first, open your Command Prompt (Start > Type cmd). In the prompt type the following: For 32-bit Windows:... C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe /secondary For 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe /secondary Skype will open a new login window. Happy Skype-ing!!!
