Just made this checklist for our clients and thought it might be helpful here too! Immediate Actions for Cash Flow: 1. Cancel any automatic subscriptions on your credit card and automatic transfers between accounts unless they are absolutely necessary. Alternatively, put the minimum payment on autopay on your credit cards and avoid paying in full temporarily. 2. Contact your Loan Provider. Many banks are allowing a deferment on monthly payments and/or interest only payments.... Some require paperwork to approve, so contact them asap for application requirements. 3. Contact your Landlord/Mortgage company. Loans guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac have already approved a 12 month forbearance; other companies have likely followed suit to some extent. You’ll need to submit an application as well, so contact them for requirements. 4. Don’t make any tax payments (except for payroll). IRS has extended tax payments to July 15, including estimates (you still have to file on-time, so make sure you file an extension). CDTFA is allowing for Relief from Penalty and Extensions on filing for Sales & Use Tax. Reach out to us if you have any concerns or questions - we are happy to help!
