It was long overdue for some fresh paint. Cleaned out all the surface rust and prepped the door. Came out great! #thelittlethings #abeslock #lacrescentamontrose
Had a call the other day regarding the lock not working properly. This is what i walked into. The client told me they hired contractors to work on the door. Completely destroyed the cylinder and the mortise latch was cut. Replaced the latch mechanism and a few other things to get it back to normal. My heart really hurt seeing the mortise abused by people that are knuckleheads. #locksmith #locksmithservice #mortiselock #baldwinlocks #contractorspecial #lockrepair #glendalecalifornia #lacrescentamontrose
Client bought these awesome doors and wanted us to install new hardware for the doors. It came out beautiful!
Here’s a perfect example of someone thinking they know what to do. The first two pictures is this person trying to fight off a homeless problem in #pasadena they screwed the top and bottom of the door. The last picture is my solution that gives a big FU to the homeless that did some terrible things in this room. Not going to mention any of them but my heart breaks on how out of control # california has become. Raising taxes isn’t fixing these issues. We need to find a better solution.
New vs old. This was for a commercial residential property which has over 60 units and they all use this cylinder to enter the property. I made 100+ happier today.
Had the opportunity to work on changing a vintage safe! Look at this beauty.
Tired of going places that don’t have your specific key? Here’s a picture of ONE wall full of keys... we have one of the largest collection of keys in SoCal.
Installed a mechanical code lock to a customers gate. Weather resistant and no batteries required!
Here’s a customer that wanted to refinish their door hardware. They wanted to Paint their door so on the after picture you can see they change it to a beautiful charcoal. And we refinished there a door hardware to bright brass and check out how amazing it looks.
When your told it’s an easy job and I walk into this mess. Please don’t be fooled, we aren’t the cheapest in town but we wouldn’t dare do something like this. We normal fix the previous persons mistake and that’s what costs you. Call us to get it done right the first time.
Keys aren’t working all of a sudden they said. Opened up a can of worms... had to take pictures to share. Most of time #locksmiths are fixing what the previous person did. It’s funny how some people come up with these solutions. Get it done right the first time by calling us.
We need to jiggle the key to open the lock. The customer said... I opened it up to see this. A simple rekey got it taken care of
Stamp of approval check your keys and see if you also have a proper working .

I'm not going to lie, but I was surprised to see that someone did this. What I'm not surprised is that I get called to fix other people's stupid mistakes. #locksmith #keys #realestate #locksmithservice #lockinstallation #rekey #sparekey #lockrepair #housekey #lostkeys #verdugocity #lacrescenta #lacanadaflintridge #lacañadaflintridge #locksmiths #tujunga #locksmithservices #glendale #locksmithlife #burbank #locksmithing #pasadena #schlage #emtek #abeslock #schlagelock
These KeyMe Kiosks seem harmless, but I would highly recommend you stay away from them. This is a major issue with property owners/businesses that have Do Not Duplicate keys. We have another solution to this if anyone feels that their keys have been compromised.
Love those $29 service call specials! Here's a prime example of a person doing it wrong. Rant # 64 .
When you don't do your research and think that the cheapest locksmith deal is best. You get what you pay for and that's what I usually deal with... Mistakes from jobs done before me.
Brand new 2019 Lexus proxy key. Ready for programming and cutting the valet key.
This breaks my heart... So here's the long story This person used Siri to " find the closest locksmith near me" and had a someone come to service his locks. Well after a 2.5 hour wait and without warning this most likely non-licensed "locksmith" drilled through this mortise unit and destroyed it. The door was locked and the locksmith decided to leave the customer with a damaged cylinder, and he's still locked out of his house. These pictures are what we saw when we got there and after a couple of minutes of carefully unlocking the unit and replacing mortise cylinder. We got the lock to work but not 100%. We need to find some parts for the t-turn that was destroyed. We are talking about a 50+ year old lock. Wish us luck! @ La Crescenta-Montrose
A customer that recently bought a house literally had a key for each individual lock! if you swipe left you'll see how many keys they use now to open all their doors. @ La Crescenta-Montrose
