AASCSC is sending updates in language to those that live in the evacuation area, border, or just in the surrounding areas. Our team including our youth are reminding elders, youth, and families to stay indoors unless directed by authorizes to evacuate. It's tempting for some to go outside to water their plants....or even try to sweep items because of the winds. Its not worth it. #SilveradoFire #Irvine #SafetyFirst

20201132411 https://youtu.be/3nJhYklibZA For the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, the Chinese American voice needs to be heard! Exercise your right to vote. Our values and voice stand equal to all American citizens. Through the power of voting our collective voice will be... heard! Ballots can be mailed, dropped off at an official 24 hour ballot box, or vote in person at a Vote Center on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. At the Vote Center, you can obtain language assistance, update addresses, or change your party preference. Some may worry about the safety of voting in-person, however, Vote Centers will clean and disinfect all the equipment after every use.

You are very welcome, Hope Community Services - Hôi Hy Vong Phuc Vu Công ông. This is AASCSC own way of continuing the tradition of hosting our Open House in celebration of Moon Festival. It's a modified version. Instead of the community coming to our house, we went to your home. It warms our heart to see elders enjoying a delicious meal! So grateful for Hope and the Vietnamese Catholic Center Trung Tam Cong Giao. #Community #RespectOurElders #SharingIsCaring

Let it be clear: if you live here, you count. Period. The census determines funding to improve our roads, schools, hospitals and other important services. We are only hurting ourselves by not participating in the Census. Many mistakenly believe they must be an American citizen to answer the Census. Everyone counts. If we want to be better recognized, we have to be counted and fill it out. We are not monolithic. We are Chinese, Taiwanese, Malaysian, Filipino, Bangladeshi, Ca...mbodian, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and many other ethnicities. And we count. Let's make sure of that by participating in the 2020 Census. Census responses can be provided in languages that include Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, Urdu and Vietnamese, among 59 total languages. Complete the #2020census now! Please visit my2020census.gov to fill it out today.
