Aequorea: Born of the sea One of my personal goals in life and in my winemaking is to push the limits of what I think I have within me. To cultivate that adventurous spirit, to step out of boundaries, and to be an explorer at heart. That was the idea behind my brand, Aequorea. I wanted to explore the possibility of making wines no one has had before- from vineyards that are lesser known on the central coast. ... From vineyards beaten and battered by maritime weather, heavy fog and hearty winds these grapes are rugged and expressive. It's my hope that those who enjoy them, get to explore a little bit of the unknown territory right here on the Central Coast.

The entire month of February has had me in the cellar, blending, bottling, etc. It was good to get out and see a vineyard for a change! Checking out some Mourvèdre @caelesta_wines vineyard in the Pomar District.

It is a great privilege to make wine from grapes grown in the vineyards that surround my home on the central coast. I am grateful everyday for the community that has supported me through the years, now more than ever.

The world of wine lost a true legend yesterday in Taras Ochota. He was a true visionary, a breathe of fresh air to the Australian (and world) wine industry, and a guy whom I found instant respect for the moment I met him. An inspiration for all those who seek to see the world through a humble an artistic lens.
