While the impact on lifestyle, relationships and mental wellbeing is significant, there are also serious connections between ED and cardiovascular and neurological diseases: An increase in cardiovascular risk factors has been c...learly established in men with ED. Men with moderate-to-severe ED are at a 65% increased relative risk of developing coronary heart disease and a 43% increased risk of stroke compared with those without ED. New research shows that ED is also an early warning sign of dementia. The vascular damage in ED is the same as the one in all vasculature, including the brain. Talk to your doctor about screening for ED, which can be the ‘canary in the coal mine’ when it comes to identifying life-threatening illnesses. We are so thrilled that this week’s podcast is on the subject of ED and vascular health with the amazing Dr. Aaron Spitz @draaronspitz . He is a renowned urologist, author of The Penis Book, and among many other accomplishments, also appeared in the award winning documentary, the Game Changers.
