Louie Marak is an artist who is inspired by people like Guillermo del Toro and the show Ultraman. Both the show and del Toro are what made Louie so interested in monsters. He uses pens and pencils to create drawings with a story behind them. Louie is drawn to the strange and unusual. One of his goals is to capture in his drawings the amazing weirdness all around us. #aai #illustration #monsters

AAI Student Spotlight! Cora Dandeneau is mostly inspired by the cartoons and video games she enjoyed as a little kid, such as the Powerpuff Girls and Kirby's Epic Yarn. She likes to paint bright colors, simple shapes and cutesy characters with an atmosphere of comfort and nostalgia for the fantasy worlds she loves. Many of her pieces are about how the little worlds in our minds interact with mundane life. #aai #illustration #studentartwork
