#Repost @beckywiththegoodhairstylist with @get_repost MY OH MY OVERTONE . Yesterday I had my first experience of overtone color correction and boy was it a project! She used a flamingo pink and after over an hour of bleach sitting on the hair, it didn’t budge. If anything, it just brought out a previous orange she had done.... . Here’s the thing about bleach, it will tell us all of your dirty secrets, if you’ve done some type of color, it’ll show! . The thing I’ve come to learn about overtone is it stains the hair BIG TIME! It’s hard to get out and to get her lighter, will take some definite time! . We got her to a solid level 8 and 8/9 towards the end. Unfortunately, it was late by the time I got done so the pictures don’t do justice and there was a weird green light casting on her hair from the light outside. I’m very happy we were able to do what we could. Her hair also felt so much better after a defy damage treatment and a healthy cut! . Beware of overtone y’all! It’s an angry color deposit machine! . We started with a very orange pre-bleached foundation. After the first session we got a good level 8 ash.... . Then session 2 WAHLAH! We got the roots to a healthy level 8 and the rest a healthy level 9/10. We then ashed it up to give that desired silver/ash look. . It’s all about the process and everyone wants immediate results but we cannot guarantee anything and your hairs health is my main priority. . I’m very honest when it comes to consultations. Everyone’s hair is different and there’s no telling what’s to happen until we lay down that bleach and hope for the best. . And he took home products so that’s an added bonus. When he told me he got fanola off of Amazon I immediately knew why his hair felt dry. I sent him home with more #defydamage and #elevenaustralia keep my color treatment blonde. . Super happy with the outcome and didn’t take her too far out of the box to help her transition into the world of blonding. . LOVED her name and that fact that she’s Hawaiian.
