To protect #fruitvale community members from the unhealthy air quality caused by the fires, @ucsf & the Resilient Fruitvale Taskforce led by @the_unity_council , La Clínica, and La Familia have decided to postpone the Sanando Juntos: Fruitvale mass testing event originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 & Sunday, Sept. 13. This decision was made in consultation with the @oaklandfireca, Alameda County Public Health Department, Bay Area Air Quality Management, and our community partners. But not to worry: the Sanando Juntos: Fruitvale free COVID-19 testing event will be rescheduled in the upcoming weeks. #staytuned #a2zeverywhere

Earth Day is the day to appreciate what Mother Earth is giving, and has been giving, us. We’ve all missed going to the parks and beaches, or just walking in nature to listen to the birds or look at the clouds. It’s making us realize that we are not the owners of the earth, but a part of it.
