Steps to help you clean out your fridge: UNPLUG If your fridge needs some serious scrubbing down, unplug the fridge so you don’t waste energy while you clean. EMPTY THE FRIDGE Take everything out of the refrigerator and place it aside. Throw out old and expired food. Group and categorize items together to make it easier when you put everything back.... WASH Wash and scrub shelves with warm soapy water by hand. SANITIZE Spray and wipe down every part of the fridge with a multipurpose cleaner. You can even use an old toothbrush to remove the gunk in any cracks or crevices. WIPE DOWN EXTERIOR Wipe down outside of the fridge with a damp cloth. If you have a stainless steel fridge you may also use a special stainless steel cleaner. How do you keep your refrigerator clean?

Use these helpful tips on packing and storing: 1. PACK AND STACK CAREFULLY. Minimize the amount of space you will need by packing and stacking your boxes carefully. This will also help prevent damage to your items. 2. BE STRATEGIC IN PLACEMENT. Place your frequently used items near the door and valuables in the rear of your storage unit.... 3. TAKE SPECIAL CARE WITH HEAVY ITEMS. For heavier items, pack them in small boxes to make them easier to carry. Placing them at the bottom of stacks will also help prevent any damage to your items.

Not sure what to serve as snacks for this 4th of July celebration? Here are some ideas down below to incorporate the 4th of July spirit. 1. Red velvet cookies! Use a star cookie cutter and some white frosting along with some blue blueberries on top,... 2. 4th of July dipped Oreos! Melt some white candy melts and dip half the oreo into it. Sprinkle some stars onto them (preferably blue and red). 3.If you can make some slushies try going for the blueberry and strawberry or cherry flavors. 4. To end the night, add some spirit to the s'mores marshmallows. You can do this by dipping them in blue and red food dye. This will result in them being a cool 4th of July tie-dye.

With most of the U.S. being back to normal and re-opening its economy, you can almost guarantee there will be a lot more family visits happening this Summer. Most of us will likely have to be hosting some family during these Summer months. Here is some advice to be #hostgoals! -Do not spend so much time focused on decorating the area, they will not look into that as hard as you think. Focus on making sure there are clean sheets, blankets, and towels for them to have at all ti...mes. -Discuss details of your personal plans and schedules that were made in advance during their stay so that guests do not feel left out. -Include them in some of your simple daily tasks around the home to make them feel included. -You can never be over prepared so make sure you are stocked up on bathroom essentials and toiletries just in case. -BONUS: Snacks! If you want to get a five-star review for the best host ever. Make sure you have snack options they like not, just your personal preferences.

Display your bling by organizing it in a style that will allow you to show it off. Find a jewelry holder to help you keep track of what you have while being able to have it displayed! Hang your necklaces and dangly earrings so that you can see what they are. Place your rings and small stud earrings in the ring holders so that they do not get lost since they are smaller items.

There is still time to get some spring cleaning in, get those piles of papers organized! Start organizing by getting the paperwork in two different piles. One will be kept, the other pile be getting tossed. -Files to KEEP: Tax returns, health records, birth records, wills and power of attorney, home improvement records, property ownership, and monthly mortgage bills (a year out at most). -Files to TOSS: Store receipts over a month old, old magazines, phone, and internet bill...s older than a year. -Items to shred: Anything that contains social security, birthdays, addresses, and any bank account numbers. -If you have a large number of files to store, you will mostly like need a filing cabinet to store them. If you have an small number of files and paperwork, you can get away with storing folders in 1-2 banker boxes.

Whether you are doing it solo or with your family, here are some tips to make the most of your trip while staying safe. - Take your vehicle to go get an inspection a couple of days before your trip. This will help make sure everything is running correctly, and that you do not run into any car t...rouble along the way. - Make sure you have the registration and insurance for the car on hand. - Depending on you where you are going, you may want to consider taking a good old map. There may be areas along the way, where internet and cellphone connection is lost. - Have snacks and water handy to avoid stopping along the way, create a designated container for trash.

With Summer approaching soon, it appears most Americans will be able to have a "normal" summer this year around in comparison to last year. With more and more Americans feeling comfortable stepping out and gathering together, you can almost count on hosting a get-together this Summer. -Host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! You can screen your movies on a portable projector that is easy to set up and use outside. With the California Summer nights, the weather will be p...erfect to sit back with friends and family. -Thinking about throwing a pool party? Avoid overcrowding in the pool area and BBQ area by having time slots at which people arrive at the party. This will help avoid too many people being at one spot at once. -Skip the self-serve and buffet-style table; create to-go style boxes that guests can take back to their tables or seats. If that is not practical in the setting, you can also designate a person or two that is in charge of disturbing food to guests.

Trendy Thursday: Making the most of your refrigerator Our refrigerators; an underrated appliance in our kitchen that is often overlooked and ignored. Tip: organize items in your fridge vertically rather than horizontally to create more space.

We all have that ONE drawer that the "random items" go into. It probably has years worth of miscellaneous items that have been lost and forgotten about. Well, here are some tips to help you tackle that drawer and get it looking nice and neat. 1. Dump everything out on a large flat surface on top of something that you can dispose of afterward. This will help to avoid getting any other surfaces dirty while going through the items. 2. Clean the bottom of the drawer thoroughly to... make sure everything is clean and stains are removed if needed. 3. Try color coordinating the categories so that you will know where to return the items to. 4. Consider using a two-tier organizer for the drawer to keep the items looking more organized and can store more while keeping everything tucked away.
