There are many good reasons to practice pranayama, breathing exercises: different techniques help us to expand the lung capasity, to remove toxins from the body..., improving the functioning of the digestive system, to balance the mind and either energize or relax the body, depending on technique. Our morning pranayama practice at DYZC includes Bhastrika, Kabalabhati, shitali, three part breathing and Nadi Shodana. Which pranayama do you practice? #dyzc #doronyoga
I will be holding a yoga class in Rose Garden in Berkeley on Sunday November 11th at 11:00am. This is a pay-what-you-can class. Bring your yoga mat a pair of socks and your willingness to slow down and tune in with your body and mind. Beginners are welcome. No experience required. We will be on the grass in the abandoned soccer field. Please RSVP by a comment here or a msg. Looking forward to seeing you there!
I believe in yoga as a powerful tool that can improve wellness and mindfulness. I am looking forward to bringing this tool to you, whether in the middle of your work day at your work place or by taking you out in nature on your weekend. Let me know if your organization has room for "a yoga a day," and stay tuned for some yoga in the park!
