The pandemic has changed California’s real estate market but not the way you may think. Some might think home prices would be low due to the pandemic but instead, it’s the opposite. Extremely low inventory has fueled tough competition and kept home prices high.

Did you know? Last week, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced new conforming loan limits that will be in place next year for mortgages backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The maximum conforming loan limit for a one-unit property in 2021 will be $548,250, an increase of nearly 7.5 percent from 2020. For high-cost areas, the maximum conforming loan limit will be $822,375.
