Someone has to replace Ash Kalra in this town! Just finished my very last event for the evening. Lots of laughing, smiling and networking with our friends/partn...ers of La Raza Roundtable. LRR co-hosted a Holiday mixer, with Conxion to Community and the SV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The message was clear this evening. Now is not the time to be divided, but united, working to protect our communities from the incoming Trump Administration. Good times at La Raza. Happy Holiday's everyone! See more

Had a great weekend at the Heritage Celebration. Talking with our special guest, 1964 Olympic Gold Medalist, Billy Mills. Mills (Lakota) and I swapped stories about Lawrence, KS. We both had connections to Haskell and KU, where we were both offered scholarships.

September 12th at the SCC Fairgrounds. Come on out, meet Billy Mills & Billy Le Beau, both Lakota! As they reenact the 1964 Olympic 10,000 meter race, won by Mills. Native foods, culture, fun, tennis, fry bread, Aztec, Hoop, Gourd & Powwow dancing, plus a California Big Time Celebrations!
