Tomorrow we should have 8 new members of the family. Pipping should be any time. They are rocking around getting into position. They are a cross of Ayam Cemani and Rhode Island Red. Super curious how they will look. Inside and out actually as the Ayam has black meat and bones.

Let's get the eggs.

For the first time, we doing a recipe. Once a week, or more, we eat German Pancakes for dinner. It's really easy. And my original family recipe has only 3 ingredients. It taste kinda like french toast and we eat with homemade syrup. You will need: 6 eggs, duck preferably 1 cup flour... 1 cup milk *all of the following ingredients are optional. I don't even use all of them all the time. (And sometimes stuff not mentioned here). You can leave out any of these and it really won't matter. I also don't perfectly measure and it's always different. 1/4 cup sugar Teaspoon baking powder Teaspoon salt Bunch of cinnamon Melt about 2 tbls butter in baking dish (pam works too). Spread out. Pour batter. Bake 350 Usually it will ripple and bubble while it cooks. It looks cool. And settles while it cools.

During "Honors Yard Work" period of home school, we discovered one of our duck had a stash. 3 eggs have been added since the discovery. I think she will probably start to sit on them in a few days. They take 25 days to hatch. We are now going to have an ag period.
