Please keep the firefighters from Indio in your prayers. Repost from @the_old_16th All,... Last night the Indio battalion suffered a serious accident involving E88, E86, T86. The incident occurred during fire attack on a SFD structure fire. While in engagement a flash-over occurred injuring a total of 5. 1 critical, 1 serious, and 3 moderate. 1 was flown to Arrowhead, 4 being evaluated at JFK, with one being transported to Arrowhead later this morning. Liaisons have been assigned on the department and union side, ESS has been engaged and family needs are being addressed. The IAFF burn foundation has been activated and will be engaged. Please keep our brothers and their families in your thoughts and pray for a speedy recovery. See more

Good morning!! This year (2020) has been.... interesting. What we are used to has been changed. We love @stachetoberfest and look forward to donating and going to the event. If you’re a new follower and don’t know what Stachtoberfest is, I’ll give you a small break down of it. They raise money for those in need, with an emphasis on the fire and ems families. They hold silent auctions and also do a raffle. It’s a fun event where mustaches are judged, and roasted, all while hel...ping out those in need. @stonebrewing always comes in with hosting the event & creating a beer that portions of the sales go to Stachetoberfest. 2020 has caused a small speed bump in their fundraising. We want to help out this year. We have a boot that we want to fill with our Keep The Change fundraiser. This is applicable on cash purchases where you can toss in your change. BUT, if you’re feeling generous, cash donations are more than welcome.
