Good evening. This is Frankie and I wanted to give everyone an update on Don. His facility has been on lockdown for 2 weeks. No one allowed in or out to protec...t everyone there. While I am grateful to them for caring for all the residents, this has been very difficult for all of us. Don is doing great!!!! They bring him 3 meals a day and spend a few min with him and we call him several times a day as well. They allow me to bring him some special groceries, and supplies but I can only leave them with the staff for them to deliver. Most days I feel lost not able to see him to take him out. Our church has also been canceled which was a huge part of our weekly routine. If you are home and have some time, please take a few min to send him a little note or card. Just something happy and positive .He loves getting mail and has kept every single card and letter that has been sent to him. He goes back and reads them over and over. This is also something you could do locally at any retirement or assisted living facilities. The elderly get very lonely and a random card would definitely make them smile.
