Good morning Somebody, Good morning Anybody/Everybody, any place/everywhere- I may not know you and you may have no conscious knowledge of me but that is of little importance when we recognize we are fully known by God. I don't know what you are going through, what trial or tribulation you are experiencing but God placed you on my heart a few moments ago and under the action of the Holy Spirit which I must obey I send the lyrics of a song to you as a reminder of God's great... love for you and as you read them I have been assured you will recognize if you are the Somebody God is blessing me to reach out and remind: John 14:18 ""I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you." NEVER ALONE "I've seen the lighting flashing and heard the thunder roll, I've felt sin's, breakers dashing, Trying to conquer my soul; I've heard the voice of Jesus Telling me still to fight on: He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone. MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU It’s a game, at times quite unrealistic but a game all the same Somebody wins and somebody loses, it all depends on whoever choose to take it most seriously, but none of this matters to you if you don’t love God more than yourself, if you don’t deny yourself, pick up your cross and daily follow HimHer, even if you love HerHim like a friend but do not obey HimHer as your LORD this little pantomime of mine will only bore you and you will never know ...I’m only going through the motion to make it easier for you to choose to go or to stay to come out or stay in. Know this: to stay is to remain locked in an illusion wherein you are forever chasing an elusive butterfly of happiness and when you catch it, you crush it, kill it, and restart the pursuit of madness all over again. Should you choose to come out, endless possibilities become available to you so once again we say: Come, and we will teach you, we will show you and we will help you. It’s a play, not written very well but a play anyway- someone a hero and someone a villain, it all depends on whoever willing to give themselves unselfishly but none of this matters to you if you don’t grasp that consequences are the direct/indirect results of choices you made for yourself or choices you accepted made for you by someone else; you have very little control over consequences for they are determined by the aforementioned choices you make or accept. It’s a show, not always entertaining but a show, even so, someone a star and someone a stand-in some have their hands out and some have their hands in and some people need both hands free Which are you? Which do you think you are? Which would you like to be? But none of this may matter to you this little pantomime of mine would only bore you and you will not comprehend our effort to make it easier for you to decide not how to swim or become a better swimmer but to learn how to walk upon the waters! Do not conform to the things of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. You must change your mind! When you change your mind you will change the way you think; when you change the way you think you will change your behavior and when you change your behavior you will change your life and when you change your life you will change your world. Change the way you think about God, yourself and others, the church, your relationships, the totality of your well-being. But none of this matters to you for you are too busy being busy, in a hurry going nowhere fast so that upon your arrival you’ll have longer to do nothing - Did you read the book? What book? The one you are writing! Congratulations! I saw your play the other night on Broadway. Thanks, I am blessed to be the Executive Producer, Director, and the featured character. I noticed that in my program but as I watched I kept wondering; who was that playing your part? but none of this matters to you and yet: ALL OF IT SHOULD!

CCSD continues a tradition started in 1974 when we proclaimed the birthdate of The Reverend MLKJ a holiday. We believe it to be the oldest holiday commemoration of his birthday. You are invited to share with us on January 15th, Noon, 1355 Fern Street as we celebrate the Life and Legacy of Dr. KING and remember those whose names are inscribed on The National Civil Rights Monument as well as some of our local Community Sheroes and Heroes. Note: Beginning Sunday, July 7, 2019, our Sanctuary will open at 8:00 A.M. for personal preparation, meditation, and prayer prior to our 9:00 A.M. Worship. After the first sounding of The Shofer at 9: AM NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE SANCTUARY until the next seating period which will occur approximately 15-20 minutes later. (The last admittance period for that particular Worship Service).

We won’t give up, no matter the situation or circumstance, we won’t give up, no matter the roughness of the road, the depth of the valley or steepness of the mountains;we decree and declare we will adhere to, rely upon and trust in the Word, Will and Way of God regardless of cost and we won’t give up!
