17th Avenue Studios in Santa Cruz is hosting a Spring Show May 5th and 6th. 20+ studios will be open from 11:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will see hundreds of beautiful original artworks, meet the artists themselves, and get a glimpse into the creative processes behind their work. CELEBRATE with us next FRIDAY, APRIL 20th from 5 to 8 PM for the Opening Reception of "THE BEAUTY WITHIN: HEALING THROUGH CREATIVITY" the NAMI (National Allianc...e of Santa Cruz County) sponsored art show of art work created by members of the Mental Health Community of Santa Cruz. All the work shown is made by people who have had or are experiencing mental illnesses and by their family members and other loved ones. The Gallery at 17th Avenue Studios is filled with a beautiful and inspiring show of the power of art to heal and the proof of bravery in the face of daunting brain disorders. Much of the work is for sale--BRING CASH!! The show is open for the last two weekends of April.
