As we round the bend toward Election Day, many of us feel stressed, fearful, tense, and anxious. Preoccupation with what might be robs us of the present moment and makes us forgetful of our constant and perpetual reality: that we are all - each of us - children of God. . Jesus helps open our eyes to the truth beneath the truth: that we belong to one another, and God dwells and works in our midst, most especially when we reach toward one another, lift each other up, and strive... to bring God's dream into our reality. . We are simultaneously grateful for the connection we find online, and hopeful for the time we can be together again and hug and shake hands. . This Sunday we'll have a special listening session to reflect together on our Thad's community: both in this season of social distance and toward planning to gather in person (safely & outdoors). . To borrow from Paul's letter to the Corinthians, "now we see through a glass, darkly; but then we shall see face to face."
