FROM THE SUNDAY BULLETIN September 2, 2018) St. Luke’s Cemetery The photograph on the front of this Bulletin depicts the entrance gate to St. Luke’s Cemetery on the hill above the church.... While several churches in the Diocese of El Camino Real have established columbaria for the repose of the remains of the faithful, only St. Luke’ Church possesses a real cemetery. Portions of the Cemetery were consecrated by Bishop Nichols in 1889 and Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves in 2012. Burials took place in the Cemetery even prior to the founding of St. Luke’s Church in 1883. In future editions of the Sunday Bulletin, we will feature a number of the great cloud of witnesses that paved the way for us on the road to God’s Kingdom.

From the Sunday Bulletin (June 10, 2018) AIDS/LifeCycle 2018 at St. Luke’s Church The photograph on the front of this Bulletin depicts our friend Peter Meredith playing the church’s 1870 Mason & Hamlin organ at last week’s visit of riders who participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle 2018.... This was the sixteenth visit of the AIDS/LifeCycle riders to St. Luke’s Church. As in the past, the bicycle annual event was an opportunity for the congregation to support and welcome all participants. This year Patricia Ashe-Woodward, Terry Hedger, and Susan Raycraft were the faces of the church that embraced the riders and roadies that entered our church. We are grateful for their service! The AIDS/LifeCycle’s purpose is to raise funds for the elimination of HIV and AIDS. This year the event raised $16.6 million!
