Well tonight is our official last night of being open, Though some homeowners will leave some lights on longer the full effect is over after tonight. A shout out to Richard Linares who helped run the trolley tours on the 19th. We will see you all next year on Dec 13th 2020. Happy New Year's Oxnard.
Come see us until Thursday night.
Whatever name people give us we appreciate the publicity.
Wonder how the F Street Railroad came to be?
Cable news is covering us tonight. It includes footage of the F street Railroad.
Are we ready to do to Christmas like only Oxnard can? We do open Sunday 12/8/19 at 6pm. Some of our homeowners are dealing with rain delays so give us a second look this season 12/8 thru 12/26 6pm to 10pm.
Oxnard’s Christmas Tree Lane opens in just 6 days. Come check us out starting Dec.8th, 6pm to 10 pm nightly. Thank you F Street Railroad for the incredible display you build each year. Can’t wait to see it.
Even with the weather our neighborhood will pull this off to be open by the Dec 8th's opening night.
Don't forget you can guided tours of us on the Trolley Tours.
When a new homeowner moves into Christmas Tree Lane and asks how the heck this thing works this is what we share with them: Hi XXXXXXX and welcome to the neighborhood. Christmas Tree Lane officially opens 12/8/19, always the second Sunday of December. We run through 12/26 typically each year, though many folks like to leave the lights on longer until New Years many residents are done with the traffic and parking impact the event does generate so there is no pressure to go bey...ond 12/26. The way the calendar falls this means Christmas Tree Lane runs 11 to 18 days long. Peak crowds are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays when parking and traffic are the heaviest. Unofficial estimates are that there can be up to 20,000 visitors to the event. The City provides trash cans at intersections and stepped up PD patrols. Don’t be startled by how many times the City Santa float appears in the neighborhood with his police escort. It is a lot of police sirens and lights when they make a detour through the neighborhood on their way back to the City yard, ummm we mean the North Pole. Sometimes when there are weather issues the lights will not be as good looking the first full weekend as folks have not have had time to finish installing them. Many church, school, and choral groups come to sing throughout the neighborhood. Enjoy what is one of the most magical times of the year in historic Oxnard. You will fall in love with this wonderful community. See more
