Thank you CSM Rodriguez for your many years of faithful service.
JTF 115 awards service members for going above and beyond!
Cal Guard is always ready to serve!! Watch this news report of a house fire in North Highlands this morning. Our own SSG Eddie Siguenza, 69th PAD, explains how he saw the fire as he drove by and stopped to help any civilians that were still in the building. Way to go, SSG! 115 RSG is very proud of your actions.
Second Harvest of Silicon Valley created this amazing video for the California National Guard in appreciation of the food bank support they have received over the last several months. We at the 115 RSG are truly humbled by the experience and are proud to be part of this. Helping others is one of the foundations of the National Guard and this mission gave us an opportunity to make a genuine difference for our fellow Californians. Together, we can beat COVID.... #CalGuard #foodbank #115RSG See more
Cal Guard Public Affairs Office will soon launch a digital version of our award-winning publication, Grizzly. After running as a print magazine for umpteenth years, the Grizzly will now be featured in the digital era. Here'a cool promotional video your PAO pieced together. Coming soon! (Video by Staff Sgt. Eddie Siguenza, 69th Public Affairs Detachment)
This organization really helps. Reach out to them if you need help finding employment. Even a simple resume review can make a huge difference.
1040th Quartermasters taking care of business!
Today’s milestone for JTF 115 is a big one. We officially surpassed the 75 million meals distributed mark! Coincidentally, today’s National Guard Photo of the Day is this picture of 1LT Zachary Ota from the 340th BSB loading a box of food into a resident’s vehicle at the Merced County Food Bank. Since the very start of the pandemic, JTF 115 has been a critical part of this important mission and has operated in over 2 dozen food banks across the entire state performing packing, distribution and logistics tasks. Great job, team!
The 115 RSG would like to share with you this fantastic video on weapon handling and safety with SGT Ian Tashima, Assistant State Marksmanship Coordinator. Do you know your four fundamentals? #firearmssafety #4rulesofgunsafety #fingeroffthetrigger
In this country, all Americans are created free and equal. We will rise or fall based on our merit and we will be judged by the content of our character not the color of our skin that is the core organizing principal of the United States of America and that is why we fight!
Another special day for JTF 115 as we officially surpassed the 65 million meals distributed mark! Since the very start, the task force has been a part of this important mission and has operated in over 2 dozen food banks across the entire state. We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of something like this, Californians helping Californians, and the next milestone you’ll see coming up soon, 70 million meals!
Today, LTC Jeffrey Corella, Commander of the 115th RSG, presented SFC Alan Sullivan with an Air Force Commendation Medal for outstanding work while on active duty in support of COVID-19 humanitarian operations. SFC Sullivan’s dedication to the logistics of JTF 115 were instrumental to mission success. SFC Sullivan is returning to Southern California and will be returning to the 115th later this month in preparation for Warrant Officer training.
JTF 115 continues on mission supporting our fellow Californians. Food banks can always use more volunteers, so any healthy, able individuals, consider volunteering at your local shelter and joining the fight.
