One thing that makes hair transplant surgery different from most other cosmetic procedures is that patients have to wait for their transplanted hair to grow in. You don’t have an instant result. In fact, your transplanted hair which has been harvested from your donor zone on the back and sides of your head, will fall out during the first few weeks post-procedure. But the precious hair bulb is firmly implanted and will begin to grow new hairs. At about three months, the tr...ansplanted hair is beginning to appear as stubble and will continue to grow in over the next 10 18 months. Because the hair growth process evolves slowly, the hair transplant result matures in a manner that makes it challenging for anyone to completely know that you have had a procedure. The best part of our day celebrating great hair restoration outcomes with our patients! This patient had 2 Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS) procedures with 4,250 total grafts, showing a final result 1 year after his second and final procedure.

Wearing tight braids, ponytails, dreadlocks, or hair buns can lead to a type of hair loss we refer to as Traction Alopecia. Over time, the constant pulling and tension can permanently damage the hair follicle. The hairs begin to miniaturize or get very thin. Eventually the hair stops growing all together. If you have hair loss or thinning edges from traction alopecia, a hair transplant may be the best solution for restoring your hair and youthful appearance.
