In 2021 his clutch started failing so we installed an external slave conversion and Quiet clutch from ZSpeedPerformance.com. With only 33k miles now on the clock we performed a full 30k service and installed new Whiteline diff bushings Icing on the cake: Rob re-tuned the Z with UpRev, making 309hp/254tq to the wheels. Ruth and Larry's 1978 Datsun 280Z. We have worked with this couple since 2008, performing mechanical, interior and exterior restorations. Last year Larry suddenly passed away, leaving Ruth on her own with the Z she bought brand new 42 years ago. In remembrance of Larry and to get Ruth back on the road we rebuilt the L28 and added our Z Car Garage Big-Brakes (StopTech) and CV Axles to an already stellar example of the 280Z chassis.
