I just learned of the passing of Bill Withers. I performed for him many years ago and we shared a lot of laughs. He was engaging and hung out with me for a go...od chunk of time. The funny thing is that the restaurant I was performing in at first told him he had to leave because of dress code. Luckily, Rick Whitfield, whose band was performing too, recognized Bill. The restaurant let him stay. Here's me with the legend.
