In honor or #NationalComingOutDay yesterday we wanted to throw out a little tribute post to anyone out there currently going through the struggle in some way or another of coming out of whatever closet you may be trapped in One of the biggest misconceptions about ‘coming out’ is that it is a one-time thing Most people that ask about our coming out story are referring to how we told our parents. What most people fail to understand is that coming out is a daily occurrence for... most of us. We have to come out EVERY.SINGLE.DAY To the bank teller that asks what my husband does for a living, the grocery clerk who asks if its me or my husband that does the cooking, the car salesmen who asks if my husband will be joining for the test drive. It is a never-ending process that no matter how much time has passed, is still a struggle and a gut punch every time one of these moments happens. It does not mean we are not proud of who we are. It does not mean we’re ashamed to be gay. I’m sure we can all think of a time in our lives that was very difficult to either tell the truth, admit to something that was hard to say out loud or when you had trouble being honest with yourself & those around you. Now imagine having to do that every day...to complete strangers. This picture was taken one week after I came out to my family on our way to our first #Pride openly as a coupleI went for a run that morning through #Hillcrest and as soon as I hit University Ave and saw all the parade set up, I was overcome with emotion, pulled over and found myself crying uncontrollably. It was one of the first times I ever actually felt proud to be gaya feeling I still remember well and hold with me todayAnd while it was a happy moment, it was also an incredibly sad one. Sad for the time spent trying to change myself, change my relationship & to fall out of love with my person. What a waste of our precious time here. The world is a mess right now but partially due to the upheaval of generations of judgment and oppression by various groups of people. This is not a political post, it is human, it is raw and it is real. Starting this week with a mission to be better. Hope you’ll join us! See more

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of attending a wonderful (and COVID appropriate sized) #housewarming party to help celebrate our clients life in their new home. In a small discussion over wine , they really thanked us for all we did as they had absolutely no idea that they could afford the size home that we were able to secure for them. And although, we did play a part in making their dream become a reality, we can’t take all the credit because, a big role of them be...ing able to afford a #milliondollarhome is due to these insanely low interest rates. * If you didn’t know this already, right now we are in a record all time low for interest rates, which has really been driving San Diego’s thriving housing market in 2020. According #FreddieMac our #MortgageRates are the lowest EVER RECORDED since Freddie Mac started recording rates in 1971 I mean, excuse the excessive use of exclamation points but, THIS IS A BIG DEAL!!! This means, that even though home prices have gone up, now is still the most affordable time to buy a home, ever. Your dollar and income go a lot farther when you are paying less interest, which means, you can afford a bigger home just like our clients . * Looking into the last 3 months of the year, on an #electionyear, there are a lot of unknowns that will be coming our way that may have an impact the #SanDiegoHousingMarket. Presidents don’t set mortgage rates however, they do set the tone for the economy, which can have an indirect effect on whether mortgage rates rise or fall . So, with the end of 2020 lurking and the election coming up, we cannot be sure as to how that may potentially affect the currently low #mortgagerates. * So our suggestion to you?
