EXCITING NEWS !!!! The Dugout welcomes Sam Long back from his season with the Kannapolis Intimidators, the single A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Sam is back and excited to return to his position as head instructor for The Dugouts throwing and pitching programs. He will develop and instruct the winter training throwing and pitching station along with being one of the instructors for the WEEKEND MEMBERSHIP clinics.

Fall Hitting Clinic 2019 FALL HITTING CLINICS 4-10 kids per clinic 4 weeks for $75 ... 6-8 Year Olds Tuesday 5:30-6:30 pm Nov 5, 12, 19 & 26th 9-12 Year Olds Wednesday 7:00-8:00 pm Nov 6, 13, 20 & 27th The Hitting Clinic will cover fundamentals of hitting. A hitter needs to have the basic fundamentals that creates a solid foundation necessary to become a consistent hitter. During the four days our goal is to build a solid foundation by developing and reinforcing the fundamentals then progressing to advance the skill level of each student. The staff at The Dugout is trained to bring out the best in each individual through hitting drills, demonstrations, and talk about the mental side of hitting. The combination of the physical swing and the mental approach will have every player on the correct path for success!! NOT TO LATE TO SIGN UP! For kids in 6th to 9th grade. Taking only 10 more kids. The winter training season is to continue the development and the progress the players have made in the past months and turn the focus on conditioning and physical development of the players. It's time to get bigger, stronger, faster, while we work on "position" specific skills during the off season. They will be training three days a week along with doing yoga/core work on their own during the ...off days. A minimum of three days a week is necessary to make an impact on their development. This could be the most important "season" for their baseball growth and advancement. Training emphasis: arm strengthening / mechanics: throwing and pitching speed and agility: base running - position specific quickness strength and conditioning: build mass muscle for explosion and conditioning for stamina yoga: "core for the core" exercises to build a strong core and the foundation that supports the core muscle groups At the end of November or beginning of December we will add hitting stations and each position will get individual or group specific training during the week.
