I’m licensed as a Barber and as a Cosmetologist. I entered the hair industry unsure of my direction but one thing was clear, client experience is everything. I now know that cutting short hair is where my skill set shines. I became a #barber to earn the use of my straight razor and dial in my clipper cuts. I don’t think hair services are based on gender, they are self expression and sense of style. My services are traditionally men’s haircuts, but that’s outdated and inaccurate for today’s world. There’s a good amount of people who are looking for a clean, short haircut in a comfortable space. That’s what I’m creating in my shop. Come visit.

August 31, 2020 Update: WILDCAT BARBERSHOP is OPEN! We are excited to return back to work and cut some hair! Please remember the new CoVid Regulations, wear a mask, reschedule if you are sick and text me when you arrive to your appointment so that I can greet you at the door. If you are 10 minutes late, we will need to reschedule to another day. I need to have time between appointments to disinfect and sterilize the studio. Thank you!... Looking forward to seeing you! Thank you for your continued support of my small business and your local barbershop!

Hi Everyone, hope you are doing well. We are still waiting for a date to reopen the Barbershop. Many of you have seen or heard that the hair industry has been "allowed" to perform services outside and I would like to clarify some facts. Barbershops and Salons which have an outdoor patio, or private parking lot, are the select few who may apply for a city permit as well as contact their landlords and insurance agencies for approval to work outside. My building doesn't qualify... my shop for any of that. Providing services outside seems like it could be fun at first, but the reality of the situation isn't so cool. First, there's a huge lack of sanitation. My standards for cleanliness are sky high and I will not compromise on that. Second, the summers in Sacramento are unforgiving. No amount of Delta Breeze can make the heat and hot asphalt of a parking lot tolerable, and we are still not able to serve any beverages. Third, I wont drag my barber chair to the curb every morning and set up an outdoor station when I have a pristine, cool, air-filtered studio waiting for me inside. This is all without talking about the logistics and safety of running electrical cords, lack of privacy and the potential of unwanted attention from vagrants.... I think you get the point. Housecalls fall into the same category for me. I have been super strict with my social distancing and don't believe entering clients homes to be a wise decision right now. I want to do the best I can for my clients and my family. I hope for good news any day now. I'm crossing my fingers that I will soon be able to reopen the Barbershop and back to cutting hair once more. I'll keep you updated as soon as I know anything. Stay safe, Veronica

Deep breath... I’m taking this day by day. Closing the shop again, for who knows how long, has been rough. I’m angry, disappointed, anxious, and tired. I’m sure you can relate. This year has been hard on all of us and the uncertainty is draining. ... I’m sending out another round of emails to touch base and inform those who aren’t on social media, I’m sorry for everyone who’s been inconvenienced by the shut down-open-shut down again, it’s a drag and it’s hard to keep up with what the current status is, I know. I’m not offering any home services and apologize to those who weren’t able to get in before the close. If it’s not okay for me to cut in my own pristine, safe, controlled environment, haircuts can wait. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this wild ride. Please wear a mask and be kind to each other. Talk to you soon. #yourbarberveronica

The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology understands the effect the recent order has on businesses and we are sensitive to that. As it stands at this moment, un...der current laws and regulations, the services cannot be performed outside. However, we are looking deeply into this issue and we're exploring options. This is a fluid situation and we will provide updated information as soon as it is available. See more

Effective July 13, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered that specific businesses on the county monitoring list must close immediately in order to reduce the spre...ad of COVID-19. This applies to all hair salons, barber shops and personal care services (which includes nail salons, esthetic salons, and electrology offices) that are within the monitored counties (a list of impacted counties can be found here at: https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap-counties/). In addition, section 7317 of the Business and Professions Code requires that all barbering, cosmetology and electology services be performed in a licensed establishment. Therefore, establishments that are within the specified counties must close immediately and not offer any services (including any outdoor services). We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

7/13/20: Today Governor Newsom made the announcement to close down barbershops and all indoor businesses, effective immediately. California State Board also released a statement that services are only to be performed inside licensed establishments and not permitted outdoors. With that news, Wildcat Barbershop will be closed until we hear otherwise. Future appointments are cancelled and I will be reaching out to those who are currently on the books. This is a really hard c...hapter for me and my business, but I’m learning to ride the waves. I want to thank everyone for their support and patience as we navigate these unfamiliar waters. Please stay safe and take care of each other. #yourbarberveronica See more
