Visit Yosemite Madera County

While we are currently experiencing weather that many would not necessarily characterize as in sync with seasonal expectations... it is still winter and signs of its presence and impacts are there, especially at the higher elevations. Here are some important tips that will help you make the most of your winter adventures to Yosemite and the surrounding area.

New closure order was issued late yesterday by the U.S. Forest Service - Sierra National Forest. This order does indicates that more of the forest is now accessible, supersedes the previous order, and is in effect through February 3rd, 2021

During the Winter months when we can't access Yosemite's High Country ourselves, we eagerly look forward to the posts from the park's seasonal Tuolumne Meadows winter rangers. Here's the first of those for 2021. Hope you enjoy!
