Isn't this the CUTEST dog??? Update on little Coco! Thanks to your generous donations, she has her vet appointment next week! This is a pre-surgical appointment just to make sure she's ready to have her teeth fixed. We think they will all have to be removed, but that's okay, dogs do fine without their teeth. The best news is: Her foster mom (a veterinary student with another senior chihuahua, pictured on the bed with her below) fell in love with her and will be keeping her. Coco has found her forever home and will soon have a healthy mouth. We can't thank you enough for making this possible!

Poor little Coco needs our help! This sweet, small, senior girl was picked up in West Sacramento and no owner has come forward. We think this doll is about 10-12 years old. She weighs about 5 lbs. She approaches strangers with a wagging tail which is kind of amazing considering what she has been through. When first picked up she had a laceration on her muzzle and her pulse ox was 91% (it should be 97 or so). She also has a bit of a runny nose. But when we looked at her teeth ...it became clear that the source of the problem was probably in her mouth: they were the worst teeth we have EVER seen. Long story short, she needs them all pulled. This is a relatively easy fix, but an expensive one. So we're asking for donations, even $10.00 will help although we estimate the cost to be between $1000 and $1500. Thank you so much for your generosity to the SPCA so we can help these senior animals! Please help. If you donate through www.yolospca.org you can Specify for "Coco's teeth". If you donate through Facebook please comment and your funds will be used for Coco.

Little Guppy never even got a chance to go up for adoption because she had her foster mom wrapped around her little (broken) toe the minute they met :). Thank you Melissa, Yolo County SPCA, and UCD Fracture program!

This is Hazel. Hazel took a leap from someone's arms and broke her back :(. Unfortunately, her back legs don't work, but look at her in her wheelchair! Gets along like a champ! Hazel is about 2 years old, and will be up for adoption soon. She needs a patient, experienced home without children.
