Tatiana appeared in one of Apple's first ad campaigns featuring people with disabilities using Apple's accessible features and products. YO! and California Foundation for Independent Living Centers - CFILC celebrate Black History Month 2021. Recognizing Lolo Spencer, disability lifestyle influencer! At the age of 14, doctors diagnosed her with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Lolo is an actor, model, and the creator of the YouTube web series "Sitting Pretty." In 2019, Spencer was honored with the Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship during the 40th Anniversary of the Media Access Awards. YO! Disabled and Proud celebrates Black History Month 2021! Spotlighting Lois Curtis, disability rights activist and artist. Lois Curtis was a plaintiff in the Olmstead Supreme Court decision. On June 22, 1999, the United States Supreme Court held in Olmstead v. L.C. that unjustified segregation of persons with disabilities constitutes discrimination in violation of title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Lois is a self-taught artist, well known for her paintings! Sh...e’s had several gallery exhibitions and, in 2011, presented her work to President Obama.
